A.P.C. is very proud to announce its 7th Interaction, in collaboration with Catherine Deneuve.
A.P.C. gave her total creative freedom and access to its workshop and fabrics, inviting her to express her vision of chic, touched with whimsy.

Jean Touitou wonders, “How did the idea of working with Catherine Deneuve come about ? I don’t know. What I do know is that the idea somehow presented itself ; it wasn’t created. It was never a concept. It was a reality that came to us naturally. Catherine, my neighbor, knows her fabrics well. When she touches them, her fingers tell her if they lack substance and strive for fleeting glory or if they can be trusted. Catherine, our dear neighbor, knows cuts as well, or at least volumes. If a drawing doesn’t reflect her words, her reaction is as cordial as it is sharp. With a friendly yet reproving look, she simply says: ‘this jacket doesn’t work, the armhole is too low and the shoulder a bit too large.’ Mutual trust and a shared love for the unsaid, as well as excess, made it possible for us to interact and create a little world of new heroines who have never been seen before.”
